Sydney Sites

by Annalise on September 12, 2009

SYDNEY – Well, we spent another gorgeous day enjoying the sites of Sydney.  We walked accross the Harbour Bridge and enjoyed the views, went through the St. Mary’s Cathedral, visited the Museum of Contemporary Art and enjoyed the Botanical Gardens.  It was a big walking day!  This early spring day got to +29 and was cloudless.  There is so much to see here but we finished relatively early as jet lag is still pulling on us late in the Australian afternoon (when Calgary is already in bed… yesterday…)

Photos soon, I promise.  We switched out a laptop today and so are uploading shots tomorrow.

Meeting lots of interesting folks at the hostel and enjoying the variety of accents; several french speakers for Robin to converse with as well.  Robin has been piping already; I think he’s missing it after the finish of the highland games season.

Your adventure sounds fantastic already..
Has Robin checked out any washing machines yet?
Is he making money at the hostels with his bagpipes?
Talk with you later..

Hey Carla, thanks for the note. It is a bit ironic but Bob, our hostel host has a history with the bagpipes and not a good one… So, he steered us down the street to a large park where Robin has been playing. He’s not put out his cap just yet; not the same without the kilt.
