4:12 a.m.

No matter how many seats I had to stretch out on my return flights and how many interesting and unusual places I found to sleep at the Doha International airport on my 1:30 a.m. to 6:00 a.m. layover (the padded play mats at the entrance to the children’s play station proved pretty good), jet lag is jet lag. We got out for the weekly Himalayan Hash House Harrier run yesterday but I got pretty sleepy half way through. I finished the run but just.

The mornings are warmer now as the edge and coldest part of the winter have passed. Perhaps I’ll head up to the roof deck and do a bit of early morning yoga. No need to wake the entire household although the run has also left me hungry and some scrambled eggs would really hit the spot just now….

To the roof deck!

I’m glad it is warming up for you. what about those power outages. Are they mainly overnight, or also during the day?
